So the NAPA course is coming to an end, it has been hard work but so worth it. The course has helped incredibly with my job day to day and understanding the effects activities have on residents with dementia. The course as been a great experience and tool that I will be able to use continuously throughout my work.
On the side I have also been getting in touch with art therapists to see about a chance to do some work shadowing or possibly attend a few sessions, either one to one or group sessions to gain an understanding of what it is like to be an individual attending such therapy but I am struggling to either hear back from anyone or if I do they are unable to help due to confidentiality issues which I completely understand.
Hopefully I can attend a few things in the future to increase my experiences in different areas of care or roles.
